Forschungsinteressen

Marine ecologist with strong interest in social-ecological dynamics of marine resource use (aquaculture, fisheries). Extended field work experience in different projects related to ecology and resource management in mangroves and other coastal ecosystems in Brazil, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. Research interests include tropical ecology, fisheries biology, food web modelling, (social, ecological, social-ecological) network analysis, sustainability issues, the human dimension of fisheries and the ecosystem-based management of marine resources.
