21.10.16 |  Renowned international scientists will talk about sustainability, climate change, overexploitation of resources and ecosystem management.

In September 2016, the Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research (ZMT) launched a new series of talks, which will be held in English and bring internationally renowned experts to Bremen. Top scientists from all over the world will thus find a forum to present their most recent results and creative approaches from their research and to give an outlook on future developments.

The aim of the lecture series is to provide food for thought and encourage discussions on a broad range of topics at the interfaces between natural and social sciences. The series focuses on pressing societal challenges such as sustainability, climate change, overexploitation of resources and ecosystem management.

The 45-minutes talks held in English are followed by a panel discussion and take place every month on a Thursday at the Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research (ZMT). The ZMT would like to open these events not only to an academic audience but also to the general public interested in research, and therefore cordially invites you to attend the talks.
