09/06/2023 | The University of Bremen and the partner institutes invite you to OPEN CAMPUS on Friday, June 23, and Saturday, June 24, 2023. After open-air concerts on Friday evening, OPEN CAMPUS offers a look behind the scenes of the major teaching and research institutions starting at noon on Saturday with a full programme of lectures, guided tours and poetry slam. In the evening, a stage programme will conclude the event.

Pagoda exhibition

On Saturday, there will once again be a pagoda exhibition in the Unipark, where the departments and research institutes will present themselves with exciting topics. Together with the MPI, the ZMT will set up a tent on the topic of "Protecting and using the oceans". The ZMT will show its research on algae as a sustainable food resource of the Experimental Aquaculture working group and offer information on its school laboratory project. The pagoda exhibition is open from 12 to 7 pm.

Institute visits, lectures, workshops...

Under the motto "Open worlds - share knowledge", departments and institutes also offer many other interesting and entertainingly packaged information. Lectures on artificial intelligence or the effect of serotonin, a visit to the famous drop tower at the Center of Applied Space Technology and Microgravity ZARM, a guided tour of the refectory or an insight into the Geosciences Collection, where there are dinosaur bones to marvel at - there is something for everyone. From taster language courses in Korean to simulating the formation of volcanoes, there are plenty of opportunities to get actively involved and acquire knowledge. There will also be a math rally around campus.

In addition, those interested can get advice on questions concerning the range of study places and applications, as well as on training and internship opportunities at the university. Refreshments will be provided by a varied gastronomic offer.

Children's Campus with many hands-on activities

At the Children's Campus, even the youngest guests will get their money's worth. In hands-on activities, they become researchers themselves. This time, the element of water plays a central role. Exciting experiments and tinkering have been prepared - from making soap bubbles to building rockets.

Big stage programme with top act Gentleman

On Friday, 23.6.2023, the "Uni Festival", the Open Campus starts at 6 pm with a stage programme with the singer Pantha, the rapper SAMPAGNE and as headliner MAJAN.
