25/07/2019 | The worldwide most important mangrove conference 'MMM5 – Mangrove Macrobenthos & Management 2019' took place in Singapore this month. More than 330 mangrove experts from all over the world met under the motto 'Mangroves and People'. The conference was also attended by a group of ZMT scientists who had the chance to meet up with former ZMT members of staff.

The latter are now active elsewhere, e.g., in Australia, Europe and South America. Candy Feller (photo on outer left) as a member of the ZMT's International Scientific Advisory Board and MMM5 Chairman Dan Friess (Photo outer right) as 'ZMT Fellow' also have close ties to the institute.

ZMT scientists contributed their latest results in numerous lectures and posters to the overall high-level conference. The conference takes place every three to six years in changing locations in the tropics and brings together the leading mangrove scientists to share the latest findings.
