In the following we would like to inform you about the handling of your data in accordance with Art. 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Persons in Charge
We, the press and public relations work of the Leibniz Centre for Marine Tropical Research (ZMT) GmbH, operate the following social media sites:

Facebook

YouTube

LinkedIn

You will find our contact details in our imprint. http://www.leibniz-zmt.de/de/impressum.html

Besides us there is also the operator of the social media platform itself. In this respect, he is also another responsible person who (separately from us) carries out his own data processing, over which we have no influence.

Data Processing
The data entered by you on our social media pages such as comments, videos, pictures, likes, tweets etc. are published by the social media platform and at no time used or processed by us for other purposes. We only reserve the right to delete content if this should be necessary. If necessary, we share your content on our site if this is a function of the social media platform and communicate with you via the social media platform. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Data processing is in the interest of our public relations and communication.

If you wish to object to a specific data processing, please contact the contact data stated in the imprint. We will then examine your objection.

If you send us an inquiry on the social media platform, we may also refer to other, secure communication channels that guarantee confidentiality, depending on the required answer. You always have the possibility to send us confidential inquiries to the address given in the imprint.

Data processing by the operator of the social media platform

It is not excluded that the operator of the social media platform uses web tracking methods. Web tracking can also take place independently of whether you are logged in or registered with the social media platform. Unfortunately, we cannot influence the web tracking methods of the social media platform.

Please be aware that the social media platform provider may use your profile and behavioral data to evaluate your habits, personal relationships, preferences and so on. We have no influence on the processing of your data by the provider of the social media platform.

Further information on data processing by the provider of the social media platform can be found in the provider's data protection declaration:
