With the new organisational structure, the Postdoctoral Researchers' Representatives are part of the Early Career Researchers' (ECR) Representatives, which brings together doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers at ZMT. Within that group, our task is to keep the specific situation of postdocs on the table: fixed-term contracts and what follows them, the step towards research independence, and the practicalities of building a career across countries and institutions.
We work in exchange with the ZMT Academy, the Internal Scientific Council (WiR) and the works council, and we have agreed regular meetings with the directorate to carry these points forward.
