Research interests

- Assessment of mangrove communities in space and time recovered from environmental DNA-metabarcoding applied to sediment cores.
- Forecasting mangrove communities in space and time using species distribution modeling accounting for species interactions.
- Spatial conservation prioritization: defining the most suitable protected areas network, to ensure ongoing ecosystem service provisioning by mangroves, while supporting sustainable use of mangroves by local populations.
- Effects of species life-history traits on our ability to detect the genetic signature of landscape barriers: a computer simulation approach.
