18.5.17 |  Professor Anna-Katharina Hornidge, Head of Social Sciences at ZMT, will be advising the Belmont Forum in establishing a new funding line. The organisation counts some of the world's major and emerging funders of global environmental change research amongst its members.

In addition to the German Research Council (DFG) and the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF), the European Commission, the National Science Foundation (NSF) in the US, the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MOES) in India, the Qatar National Research Foundation (QNRF) or the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) are part of the organisation – to name but a few.

During a two-day workshop of the Belmont Forum in Brussels at the end of May, Professor Hornidge will also be holding a talk about "A Transdisciplinary Research Experience: Lessons Learnt” which is embedded in the overall workshop topic of "Transdisciplinary Research for Ocean Sustainability”.
