On Saturday, January 29 at 11 a.m., Prof. Dr. Martin Zimmer will give a talk in German at "Wissen um 11" in Bremen's Haus der Wissenschaft entitled: "How can tropical coastal ecosystems help mitigate the effects of climate change?"
The Paris Agreement goal of keeping global warming below 2° can only be achieved through increased efforts by all and by combining innovative approaches. Vegetated tropical coastal ecosystems such as mangroves are among the most efficient natural solutions to combat climate change. In his presentation, Martin Zimmer will explain the potential of these ecosystems for climate change mitigation and talk about their value for the inhabitants of tropical coasts and for us.
